What better way to start a general chat than to introduce a conspiracy theory? 
The worldly consensus is that NASA landed a spaceship on the moon in the year 1969. Supporting this event are several pictures and videos of the event occurring, as well as the highest of officials in the United States leading the program. It was obviously a very big deal, as one would expect.
But people argue that problems do exist with this story. From boot prints on the moon apparently not matching the boots on the astronauts, to what seems to be several light sources hitting the moon, causing shadows in multiple directions - something that apparently should not happen on the moon, but would be expected in a studio - people are denying the moon landing happened.
I myself am a skeptic on the matter. Consider me in the middle. This is because I was not there when it supposedly happened, and all I have is videos and testimonies. But videos and testimonies can be faked both ways. So I would have to take someone else's word that it happened or didn't happen. But I will say, I lean on the side that it did not happen. Although we have footage that it happened, there seems to be even more convincing footage that it did not happen. I have seen footage of what appears to be the astronauts themselves in 1969 faking the crescent of the earth from their ship.
Either way, when I go outside at night and look up at the moon, I think to myself, "No way we made it up there". But if we did, then that was truly an amazing accomplishment.
