I will start by listing my equipment and software.
Audio Production Equipment: I have a Rodecaster Duo (still learning to get the most out of it). I totally recommend investing in this thing.
Headset/Microphone: For a headset mic, I have an audio-technica BPHS1. I use this for my Let's Plays. If I turn my head while talking, the microphone will follow me. The idea with this is that I will get more consistent audio levels despite bad microphone posture.
For a standing desk mic, I have a Blue yeti, which I plan to use for standalone videos and channel updates/discussions. It is more sensitive, but has a crispier quality to it. So I plan to use this for almost all content besides Let's Plays, where I can focus more on correct microphone etiquette while recording.
Recording Software: For Screen capture, I use Fraps when I can, and Bandicam when Fraps does not apply. For commentary capture, I use Audacity.
Video Compression: I compress my raw footage through Handbrake. This can turn a several GB video into a few hundred megabytes with zero noticeable quality loss.
Video Editing Software: I use Adobe Premiere Elements 14 to edit my videos, and it constantly wants me to update it, but I never will.
That's about it for me at the moment! I'll update if I change anything.
