I will start by listing my equipment and software.

Audio Production Equipment: I have a Rodecaster Duo (still learning to get the most out of it). I totally recommend investing in this thing.

Headset/Microphone: For a headset mic, I have an audio-technica BPHS1. I use this for my Let's Plays. If I turn my head while talking, the microphone will follow me. The idea with this is that I will get more consistent audio levels despite bad microphone posture.

For a standing desk mic, I have a Blue yeti, which I plan to use for standalone videos and channel updates/discussions. It is more sensitive, but has a crispier quality to it. So I plan to use this for almost all content besides Let's Plays, where I can focus more on correct microphone etiquette while recording.

Recording Software: For Screen capture, I use Fraps when I can, and Bandicam when Fraps does not apply. For commentary capture, I use Audacity.

Video Compression: I compress my raw footage through Handbrake. This can turn a several GB video into a few hundred megabytes with zero noticeable quality loss.

Video Editing Software: I use Adobe Premiere Elements 14 to edit my videos, and it constantly wants me to update it, but I never will.

That's about it for me at the moment! I'll update if I change anything.

Headset/Microphone: For my headset mic, I use a Sennheiser HMD 300 PRO.
For a standing desk mic, I have a Shure MV7, which I reserve for higher-quality.

Recording Software: I rely on OBS Studio (NVIDIA Geforce) for screen capturing most of my content. .

Video Editing Software: I do all my editing in VegasPro15, .

Your "click here" link is obvious misleading advertisement. Your post is welcome, but I took the "click here" link out, since it is irrelevant and spammy. It is spammy, because it is irrelevant advertising, and misleading.

The rest of your post is welcome, and thanks for sharing.

What do you use for screen recording software when you aren't using OBS?

Hey there! My equipment is on the basic side but I feel I'm getting good bang for my buck:

Headset: this is just a cheapo, $20, Havit RGB USB gaming headset - the mic quality is SO poor!! I don't use the mic - I could literally cut it off!

Mic: same as Rudo (and a lot of other small YouTubers - Blue Yeti - this gives a nice crisp voice to accompany my slower paced story rich playthroughs.

Recording Software: just OBS - nothing fancy - I do have a plug-in installed though that allows me to capture audio from individual apps as opposed to just everything going through my headset.

Editing Software: DaVinci Resolve - I did a lot of casual work for my dad who is an editor in the TV/film industry so I've got some experience - resolve is a BEAST considering it's free!!!

Facecam: Visolink W4DS HD - a bog-standard 1080p 60fps webcam - not great quality but I don't think it's super important and loads less faffy than trying to use my phone!! This records right alongside my gameplay in OBS on a 3840x1080 canvas that I trim down in post.

Key light: a $20 LED ring light - takes my facecam quality from "ultra super duper bad" to "meh". Well worth it though.

I'm trying to not spend another cent on equipment until such a day as I start making money from my lets plays 😂

Hey, I understand letting the hobby support itself from here on out LOL.

Do you keep your gain knob nearly all the way down on the Blue Yeti? I have to. It is so sensitive, it makes even the computer fan sound like a jet engine.
