What are your thoughts on TCGs? I grew up playing and collecting Pokémon cards in the 90's and early 2000's. Surprisingly, they are still extremely popular. Some cards reach up to hundreds of thousands of dollars in worth.

I never did get into Yugio nor Magic the Gathering. Today, there is apparently a new TCG out about Anime, or Manga, and some cards are basically instant winning lottery tickets if you pull them.

Anyway, it was always fun opening those Pokémon booster packs when I was a kid, but man, is that expensive. I ought to call up my mother right now and thank her for all the packs she bought me back then 😂

Today, there are websites where you can easily create and sell your own games, including Trading Card Games. You upload the artwork for the cards and set the parameters, and they produce, package, and ship it for you, even in the form of randomized booster packs, whenever someone puts in an order. I think that is just awesome. We're in an age where we can easily become our own developers of all things it seems.

I too collected Pokémon cards and sometimes will still buy the occasional pack! I just love the buzz of opening a booster pack and checking it for new cards! My most valuable card is probably only worth about $20 and I've spent way more than that on them so it's definitely not a viable source of income 😂

My wife and I just opened some packs today. The 151 expansion recently got me back into Pokémon cards a bit with its power of nostalgia.

What is the $20 card you have?

I opened an 'Illustration Rare' Raltz, and that's apparently worth $15.04 right now. I think it's my worthiest card in terms of monetary value 😁

Yeah, some people treat it like gambling. More power to 'em I guess!
