I like all kinds of music. I don't really like to corner myself into a specific genre. I have probably heard something I can appreciate from every genre I have heard.
I love music anywhere from death metal, to jazz, to hip hop, to pop.
Some artists and albums I particularly like but certainly not limited to:
Tame Impala [Currents]
Chromeo [White Women]
Death [Sound of Perseverance]
Jackson C. Frank [Jackson C. Frank]
Black Sabbath [Sabbath Bloody Sabbath]
Other artists:
MF Doom
Carcass
Red Hot Chili Peppers
Pink Floyd
Journey
Bach
Bee gees
The Black Keys
Breakbot
Metallica
Megadeth
Daft Punk
Beethoven
Eric Clapton
Eagles
Joe Walsh
Waylon Jennings
Johnny Paycheck
Bob Marley
The Erwins
John Fahey
Primus
Rollins Band
Elivs Presley
Ritchie Valens
Ellie Goulding
Earth, Wind & Fire
Elton John
Enfold Darkness
Ed Sheeran
There are even many things I appreciate from artists like Michael Jackson, The Weeknd, Eminem, Shania Twain, Maroon 5, Christina Aguilera, Avril Lavigne, Nora Jones, Asteroids Galaxy Tour, etc. There's even some fire stuff by political artists like Bryson Gray. FearofDark and Disasterpiece have chiptunes that are masterpieces. Taylor Swift has Trouble, that song is fire. Even Britney Spears has some stuff that's straight fire. Also check out Blackmill. My wife's favorite singer growing up was Hikaru Utada, a Japanese artist/singer. She has some stuff thats straight fire, too (check out Somewhere Near Marseilles - the standard 11:55 minute version).
Totally off the cuff list, and I left out some entire genres. But that gets something out there. I think I lean toward metal, funk and folk, but certainly progressive.
Favorite album is probably Sound of Perseverance by Death. The energy, composition and progressiveness is unmatched in my experience.
